Asian Festival

After leaving the Scottish Festival, I realized we still had time to make it to the Asian festival going on the same day.
We dropped Doug off at home and had some lunch and then went right back out to visit this festival.

It was pretty overwhelming for the kids. There were so many things to look at and do.
My only problem with these kind of events is that inevitabley you have a bunch of really cool booths and services that fit the theme and then you have a bunch of businesses with tables that have nothing to do with Asia whatsoever.
We went to all the cool places though and this was free so it was really a fun afternoon activity.

Abi loves doing origami. She and Maddy were doing it at this table and the little girl by Abi was having trouble so Abi helped her out. It was cute to watch her coaching her.

This guy was excellent. The kids put on a sheep costume and had to hop through the maze. He was so good with kids. Abi didn't want to do it at first but after watching Maddy, she decided to give it a go.

They got these really cool Chinese yo-yo's for a prize.

We did some crafts.

Waved hello to Baymax.

Then Abi tried this game where you had to pick up candy with chopsticks and you could keep what you were able to pick up... up to a certain number of pieces.
Abi was quite good at it.

Maddy was coloring while Abi was playing it.
Then Abi came over to color too.

And Maddy decided to try the candy game.
It was hilarious.
She did not get it and could not do anything with those chopsticks.

So, finally she did this...

They tried to correct her at first but she did not care.
She as going to do it this way or no way.

The girls were cracking up. And she started to attract a crowd. Some of the older Asian people were taking pictures of her doing it. It was so funny.

Next they went on a musical dragon ride.

It was a lot of fun.
