More Disney fun

I finished the girls' autograph books for our trip! Check them out here.

Check out our Frozen movie night here.

Halloween!

Halloween we got up really early and both girls dressed as black cats.
Abi would be wearing her new Sofia dress and being Sofia the First for trick or treating but she didn't want to wear it to school wear it would get dirty and be hard to play on the toys at recess.
So, two black cats it is!
We left the house super early to head to IHOP for the free scary face pancakes.

They loved them! It was a really fun morning to be able to take it easy and just sit and talk and laugh with them over breakfast.

After breakfast we went straight to Abi's school. We got there about ten minutes before it started. They would be doing their Halloween parade soon after we arrived so Maddy and I dropped Abi off and then we parked and went into the library to wait.
I love that her new school has rules about the halloween costumes so we didn't have a repeat of last years Saratoga Springs incident where Maddy was terrified by the MANY extremely scary and GORY costumes in the elementary school. This year was a fun experience so that was awesome.
Here comes Abi!

After the parade we went out to Doug's sister Wendy's house to drop off some things to her and got to see our adorable little niece/cousin Claire. Our girls adore her and it was so fun to see her in her cute little Halloween outfit.

Then we went down to Doug's work to trick or treat with all of the people there and have lunch. That was really fun!

Then we visited my sister and she gave the girls fun little Halloween treats.
And then it was time to pick Abi up from school already.
My parents came over and we had Chili and breadsticks and donuts.
Then it was time to go out.
Ready to go trick or treating

Doug and my dad stayed home and my mom and I just took the girls around. It was a pretty funny experience with a little girl terrified of dogs because there was only one or two houses that didn't have one running out when the door opens.
There was a lot of screaming.

The girls got a TON of candy.
It was a great Halloween!!!

Cinderella dress

You can see the dress I have made for Maddy's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience on the Disney blog here.

Gardner Village

We went to Gardner Village last week for our annual fall visit.
Because it is getting super close to our Disney trip I didn't want to spend the extra money on the witch's breakfast this year so we just did the scavenger hunt and walked around.
My parents came with us.
It was INSANE.
I have never seen Gardner this crowded and loud.
We had a fun time but my mom and I agreed that next year we want to do the breakfast again instead.
The only pictures I took the entire afternoon were these two of Maddy. Abi refused to get in the pictures.

Random october

Some of the things that have happened over the past few weeks:

Even though I have had a huge jar of perler beads from Ikea for almost a year I have never got around to doing them with the girls.
We went to the library for a perler bead activity and that is where they played around with them for the first time.
Since then it has been a Perler revolution at our house. Perler beads everywhere. And Perler creations everywhere!

They had the costume fitting at Maddy's dance class.
I love this picture because although it is blurry you can see the excited face that Maddy's friend is making at her. She was super excited.
Maddy had to wear a size too big because she is the tallest in the class.
I thought that was funny because she is at least half a foot shorter than Abi was at that age and we always think of her as the teeny one... and then she gets around other kids and she is still tall.
How did we have tall kids?? :)

I posted this picture on Instagram and Facebook.
I got out of the car one afternoon after picking up Abi from school and I just looked up at the tree that we park under.
It just struck me how beautiful it was so I snapped this picture with my camera.
No filter.
It is one of my favorite nature pictures I have ever taken I think.
I love fall.
I had parent teacher conferences for Abi. She seems to be doing well.
I snapped the above picture of the haunted house that she drew.

Maddy wearing her glasses she got in a happy meal after a lunch with friends.
And Abi lost another tooth.
When I went to look at it in the little box I found that she had left it like this on a note to the tooth fairy.
It says:
"Dear tooth fairy,
You are so kind to give me money for each tooth I lose so I would like to say thank you.
From
Abigail"
Awwww. I love it.

Pumpkin Princess Pageant part three

Here are the videos of the girls from the pageant.
I was there by myself this year so trying to take pictures and film video at the same time.
I did NOT notice while filming that you could see the stinking phone whenever I took pictures.
Duh. Duh. Duh.

Pumpkin Princess Pageant part two

Maddy was in the second group to go on stage.
She was a little more shy and quiet than normal but so adorable.
The lady from the news (I can't remember her name) was the host again. She is really good with the kids.

Abi's group was the second to last. She did much better than last year although you could still tell she was nervous. But honestly, I find it AMAZING that my shy, reserved girl gets up in front of that many people to do this.

some pictures I put on Instagram that day.
Maddy waving to the judges...
Abi getting asked a question...

Of course they didn't win.. but they had fun.
After the pageant was over we went and played on toys some more.

I LOVE this picture.

The girls did the little kid corn maze and then we went into the BIG corn maze.
I let Abi be in charge and she led us through the whole thing really well.

After the maze we picked our pumpkins and headed out to lunch.
This makes me laugh because they could get the pumpkins as big as the one Abi has but Maddy picked the teeniest one. It was quite perfectly shaped though.
And then Abi got this pumpkin she loved... but wouldn't hold it properly because it was making her hands dirty.
