Disney Movie Night: Wreck It Ralph

Disney Movie Night: The Incredibles

To celebrate superheroes we had "hero" sandwiches with chips. 

For dessert we had Frozone's Ice Cream Sundae with "superfruit".

Disney Movie night: Peter Pan

For our Peter Pan movie night we went with a pirate theme. 

We had pirate ship pizzas. 

We made Captain Hook breadsticks... although I kind of think this one turned out looking more like a penguin than a hook.

We had some Pirate "Ale" (sprite) and chocolate dublooms.

Disney Movie Night: Snow White

Our movie night this week was Snow White. 

Abi came home from school on Friday with pink eye. So it's been a little hectic around our house. She was not feeling great. And I wanted to make it very simple. 

We made Split Pea Soup (because Snow White makes the dwarves some soup.) 

There was also "Seven Dwarves in blankets".

And for dessert: apple pie. 

I just bought a store bought and went with it. 

We didn't do any real activity. Abi just built with blocks and Abi rested on the couch.

Disney Movie Night: Toy Story

For Toy Story movie night I made homemade pizza. 

It was a very simple night. 

For the activity there was playing with our Mr. Potato Head toys.

Disney movie night: Sleeping Beauty

Saturday I took the girls to see Maleficent. It was awesome. We loved it. 

We finished off the weekend by watching Sleeping Beauty. 

It's interesting watching it after Maleficent. They really changed SO much of the storyline. But I have to say that even though Sleeping Beauty was always one of my favorites... I am pretty sure I like the Maleficent version better. And I'm pretty sure the girls did too. 

So, back to Sleeping Beauty. 

I made breakfast for dinner. 

We were already all in our pajamas. 

We had pancackes, eggs, bacon, and strawberries. 

We drank Sleeping Potion which was just Sprite. 

And we had a birthday cake for Aurora. I wanted it to be a little similar to the one in the movie so it is a little off balance and messily frosted... but I only did two tiers. Also made it half pink and half blue because that is the girls' favorite thing in the film.

Disney Movie Night: Mulan

I didn't really feel like making anything so we got Chinese takeout. 

It was so good!

Then the girls made paper lanterns and fans. 

They loved making them so much that by the end of the night I think we had at least 15.

Disney Movie Night: Beauty and the Beast

A week ago we did our Beauty and the Beast movie night. 

We had a "French" picnic. 

Chicken salad on a big baguette, grapes, sparkling cider, and eclairs. 

Afterward, the girls painted on these paintings that have Belle, Aurora, and Cinderella.

Disney Movie Night: Aladdin

We had our Disney Movie Night for Aladdin just days before hearing about Robin Williams. 

We are so saddened for him and his family and for all of us that will miss him.

We are glad that he left behind so many wonderful movies that we can share with our families so that our kids will grow up knowing who he was too. 

For our movie night we had chicken and pepper kabobs, cous cous, 3 different types of hummus with flat bread, Jafar's so twisted fries, and Genie in a bottle drinks. 

For dessert we decorated our own magic carpets

Then we got out some trays I bought after our last sand activity (to try to contain the sand a bit) and the girls made charms with sand.

After that Abi built a Lego set that looks like it could have been Aladdin themed. And Maddy built a palace with her duplo's.

Disney Movie Night: Finding Nemo

We recently did a Finding Nemo movie night. 

We had fishsticks- I know that is so wrong and they were super gross. 

We also had mac and cheese, goldfish crackers, swedish fish, and graham crackers decorated to be the school of fish teacher with the fish on his back. 

Afterward we played Finding Nemo Go Fish.

Disney Movie Night: The Little Mermaid/ Sofia the first

A few weeks ago we did our Little Mermaid movie night. 

The movie stopped working a few minutes into the show and I couldn't get it working again so we ended the night with Sofia the first instead. We watched the episode with Ariel in it. 

So for food, we had oyster cookies...

We also had sand pudding and ocean kool aid

and little hot dog Ursula's.

The girls did sand art for the activity. It was SO messy.
