Summer learning: Geography- China and India

We went from Japan to China!
The girls wanted to bring along the panda's that they got in Epcot last year at the China pavilion.

They hopped on the plane for the trip.

We made a stop at baggage claim to pick up their luggage.

Then we began our activities. We found China on the map, talked about some of the famous landmarks and animal species.
They built the Great wall of China out of flat marshmallows and then ate a couple of them.

They made panda's with paper plates and construction paper.

Then colored some pictures and added stickers to their passports.

Then we had a little tea party.
We picked up these Hello Panda cookies in the dollar section at Target.

I used a real tea set that Doug's parents sent to us from China (they live in Hong Kong right now) and we had cookies and water.
They loved the cookies.
Maddy liked the chocolate best (so did I) and Abi liked the strawberry best.

We watched an episode of Little Einsteins where they travel to China.

Then we worked on the Top Secret Adventure for China from Highlights.

Later in the day we learned a bit about India and colored some pictures.

These are some of the books we used today.

The girls traced their hands on cardstock, cut them out, and then decorated them like henna designs.

Our Asia bulletin board by the end of the day...
