Family Pictures

This summer we took some family portraits with Doug's siblings. 

We did two different picture days. The first pictures were taken by a friend of the family in the back yard of Doug's parents' house. 

The second set were done in a professional portrait studio in Draper. (Fotofly)

The ones done in the back yard were of everyone (except Doug's parents because they are currently in Hong Kong) and the ones at the studio were just all of the grandkids. 

My favorite picture of the bunch is this one of Abigail and Madeline in Doug's parents' back yard.

They did pictures of just the boys and pictures of just the girls and then pictures with all of them. 

I love this all girls picture. 

Mother's Day Photo Shoot

Every year around Mother's Day I take the girls out somewhere and take pictures of them. 

This year I wanted to go to this place about 30 minutes from our house. I did the pictures there about two years ago right after we moved to Utah and it was perfect. 

But then we got there and there were a bunch of people setting up a wedding. 

Darn. 

We drove around a few more places but nothing was working out. 

Finally I remembered seeing people take pictures on some train tracks by a park near our house. 

So we went there. 

I took pictures on the tracks and then we went to a bridge at the park and walked around the park itself. 

I got some pictures I really love. But of course I also took a bunch of funny ones. 

I'm posting those first. 

Sometimes it is hard to get two girls to stand still at the same time. 

When hugging poses turn to squeezing poses...

These girls are silly.

I actually liked this one but it was pretty dark.

Let's pick flowers instead of taking pictures!

The cutest cry that ever was. 

Yeah... the pose I was going for here did NOT work.
